The English Channel and the wind welcome those who are inspired by infinity, quiet, and outdoor life. Birthplace of the sand yacht, Berck-sur-Mer is the paradise of all those who love sliding sports. Be it with a kite, a kite surf or a sand yacht, or simply by walking along the sand dunes and the sea, you will have a great breath of fresh air.

The Esplanade Parmentier and the promenade du Professeur Debeyre, which both go along the shore, are the inhabitants’ favourite trails. They are accessible to all and offer a stunning view, at both low and high tide, no matter if one is facing the sea or not.

Heaven for children and parents

The resort is built with the family in mind. The beach, as far as the eye can see, is the theatre of the games, laughs and dreams of children. The Berck-sur-Mer “mood” can be lived at every season and to the rhythm of events such as the International Kite Festival, an event of worldwide renown, with the coming of spring in April.

Do you enjoy a good stroll with your family? Go along the shore to find the Baie d’Authie, little sister of the Baie de Somme. You will no doubt have the opportunity to see our mascots, the harbour seals and the grey seals (2h30 before low tide, all year round).

Famille Plus

A children dedicated resort!

In 2012, Berck-sur-Mer and its partners have been awarded the label “Famille Plus”, and work together to make your stay memorable and to offer you possibilities of accommodations, activities and meals at an affordable price.

Between each cycle, there is a period of slack water, when the current is at a standstill. This lasts for about twenty minutes.

All the information you need about the tides, how they work, their timings, and advice on how to swim and walk safely on the beach.
